Hahaha, oh I’m so excited for this little sequence of events.  I don’t know exactly how it’s going to play out yet, but I know how it ends, and it’s going to be spectacular.  XD

Now buckle in… there’s a lot to talk about this week!

It should come as no surprise that some changes are made between the sketched version of the comic and the finished product.  For this week’s vote incentive, I submit Creepface Don, who I am very glad I revised because, hoo boy does he have some creeper face going on.

This week’s bonus page was something of a challenge for me.  I was asked to show what Tattle does when no one’s looking, which presented some timeline issues.  In the end I decided simpler is better.  Even the busiest of people have some downtime, after all.  Plus, what might look boring and ho-hum at first glance should (I’m hoping) raise some serious questions under closer scrutinization.

Oh, did I not mention that the bonus pages finally have a proper setup?  Yes!  I finally took care of that!  Now you can navigate through them with the greatest of ease and leave comments at your leisure.  Oh, and I also made a slight change to the third bonus page (Rivals) to hopefully make it clearer how Tattle first got Ten’s name.

I debated for a little bit whether to link directly to the bonus pages’ sub-domain or not, but after some thought I decided to do it this way so that I could have a static page that went into greater depth about them than the little blurb I put at the bottom of posts does.  I tried to clear up a few things there if you want to check it out.

On a somewhat related note, I moved the donation button into the left sidebar, right under the store button so it’s easier to find.  Hurray for donations!

Continuing the somewhat related notes, I have a proposition for those of you who like plushies.  Here’s the quick rundown:  I’m moving in a month, which provides me with the duel desires to stockpile as much money as possible for moving costs while simultaneously cutting down on the number of things I have to cart up and down stairs.  Now, I have a large, cuddle-able cat-sized Malaiki plushie that utterly failed to sell in the Etsy store and which has been taking up a large portion of my sewing area for several months.  I’d like him to find a home before I move.  The solution I’m thinking of?  Silent auction.

If you want what is almost certainly the only Malaiki of this size I’ll ever make, e-mail me your bid for him at avsaroke@gmail.com.  The highest bid by 7pm (EST) on June 7th gets him.  I’ll pay for shipping costs myself, so don’t worry about factoring that into your bid.  Even if he goes for $5 and I send him out at a loss, I’ll be happy knowing he went to someone who’ll enjoy having him.  C’mon… you know you want him.  😀

(The camera perspective did something weird here.  I swear I don’t really have a giant man-hand.)

If there’s any interest, I might do a similar thing with the magnets.  I was waffling back and forth about having them be a contest prize, but if someone wants them outright… you know my e-mail.  Here’s the lot of 17 of them up for grabs:

EDIT:  Okay the magnets are spoken for.  A good friend really wanted them, so off they went.  If anyone’s really hellbent on acquiring handmade watercolor magnets from me in the future, I figure I can probably swing some custom orders.  Maybe add it as an option on the Support the Comic page in the future.  We’ll see.  Good new is the plushie is still completely up for grabs.  Even a $1 offer could net him at this point.

Finally, I wanted to draw your attention to two webcomics I found fairly recently that I’d like to give a little shout out to because they’re lovely reads and I’m sure at least a few of you will like them.

First there’s Miamaska.  The artwork at times has me convinced that I’m looking at still frames from an animated movie, and although the story just seems to be warming up I’m already quite excited to see where it goes.

The second comic is Delilah Dirk and the Turkish Lieutenant which has beautiful composition and a funny, quirky odd couple as main characters.  The story seems to be complete and it’s a rather quick read so I definitely recommend you check it out.

Woo… that was a long post!  Thanks for reading!

Progress towards the next bonus page: $0/$20

(Donate any amount of money by clicking the ‘donate’ button in the left sidebar. Each time we reach $20 in total donations, I’ll post another bonus page of extra story.)
