I don’t think Kiva is enjoying Ten’s pain. I think she knew how it was going to go down as soon as Ten started talking to (girl with the ear tattoos…don’t remember her name) and she’s been waiting for her chance to intervene. Kiva has hated tattoo girl’s guts forever and I think she’s been timing her attack. This is the perfect excuse (and honestly, who doesn’t want to see tattoo girl taken down a notch??)

I agree with Anon, what’s wrong with Jana? She’s a nice person and good friend.
To be fair, I never said what it was she was enjoying, just “it” which happens to be the topic of this particular page, letting Jana down.

Yeah I didn’t think you were trying to say Kiva was being sadistic. I was just sharing my interpretation of what was going on. As for Jana, I believe she was gossiping about Ten and Jovi on one of the previous pages. She seems like the kind of person who sticks up for you when you’re around, but cuts you down after you leave.
I think that was Min gossiping, but thanks to the “Whisper Game” by the time it got to Jana, it was something different.
I concur with Mischka. I think she’s grinning from schadenfreude at Jana’s dismay and discomfort. Thoroughly enjoying it. If Jana likes Ten because she likes him and Not because he has powerful friends, then Kiiv’s off base, but still likes seeing her suffer, we are assuming because she still remembers What happened on page #176, …

See, I’ve been thinking about this comic today, I agree with Mischka. I just keep getting this idea that the rest of the squad, after Ten shoots down Jovi/Jana, keeps seeing him be super unreasonably nice to someone who hates him. Won’t they all get the idea he’s masochistically attracted to her or something? Just a thought that occurred.

Maybe I’m crazy but it seems to me that if Ten explained the situation correctly, nobody could blame him. After all, it’s just “how he is”, not something he did deliberately. But I guess the kilm are just as unreasonable, when disappointed, as humans. Yes?

I was curious if Jana is (partly!) sticking up for Ten, as a way of showing off how big and tough she is, something like boys do in our world. Since the girls are bigger than the boys there, is this a thing, or am I reading too much into it?
