Happy end of the month page!
Oh Ten, your friend-juggling skills are so good!
Look at all teh peoples!
Also, I wanna see how he handles the twins by now. Surely it’s not panic anymore, probably more of “For F**ks sakes GO AWAY PLEASE”
“I don’t believe you’re real” says the person.
“Good” replies the devil.
Ya know, I can;t shake the feeling that pretty soon, shit is going to start going down fast! I feel like I’m watching something directed by Riddley Scott, but that could just be me being paranoid XD
Ah man, Telden didn’t even get tagged on this page. Things really aren’t boding well for his long term presence… o.o
You noticed the lack of tagging too, eh? 😛
Whoops! That’s actually just my bad. There were so many tags on this page, I just forgot that one. XD
Good to know Telden isn’t going to be offed as soon as I thought 😉
Also, I think I really like Kep, with his bright green eyes and kind of aloof know it all personality
Phew! For a moment, I was quite afraid there! I like Teden
I like how in panel one the boys are all goofing around and the girls are “These cards are serious business. You are all going down. “
i’ll have you notice that jael’s cohorts are not particularly buddies with ten.. That could come up when sludge hits the fan.
love that look from ten on the last panel, that look that tells you that he has been coming back to THIS every night for the past month and there is no solution to it.
So something I’ve been wondering… Trini gets her “freckling” because of where she is from, and how the sun reacts with her skin there, right? If so, how long would it take for it to fade, or is it permanent?
If someone with Stridor’s lived there could they also get a little bit of ear freckling or would that not be possible?
The freckles are permanent.
Hm. Stridor’s kids with freckling. I’m going to say… it depends. I’ve established that there are degrees of severity within Stridor’s. Because part of the disease is a lack of melanin, kilm with the more severe versions would completely lack the ability to produce pigmentation, and therefore would not freckle. Those on the less severe side might have some latent melanin-producing cells in their skin. Enough to give them a very light and probably patchy bit of freckling.
I was just imagining how adorable Ten would be with ear freckles :3
Also, I think it would be really interesting to see the degree of Stridors. So mild to severe at various different stages in the disease. I would guess that your milder cases would have slightly darker skin like you were mentioning. But would they also have longer muzzles, be a bit taller, and have have gold eyes that are a bit more brown?
And then you severe cases would be pretty much all white, very stunted, probably have to use crutches or a wheelchair and minimize physical activity, and very bright yellow eyes?
Where does Ten and his sisters fall on this spectrum?
A lot of the variation between individuals is more on the invisible side. Things like how fast they’ll progress from stage to stage and how mentally affected they are.
There would be slight variations in stunted-ness and skin tone, but that’s also down to the overall genetics of the individual. Ten and his sisters look so similar because, you know… siblings and all.
I’d say that in less severe cases, it would be possible for someone with Stridor’s to have less juvenile features than Ten does. A slightly more developed face, a slightly larger and stronger body, a bit darker skin. But not much. The eyes would always be solidly somewhere in the yellow family, though. No yellow-brown or yellow-green there.
While there would be kilm with Stridor’s who would be frail enough to be like the severe cases you’re describing, they wouldn’t be around for long. They certainly wouldn’t live to be Ten’s age. Someone that badly off would either succumb to medical complications during childhood, or you know… “succumb to medical complications” during childhood. Kilm society isn’t very forgiving or accommodating to those who they see as not belonging.
On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most severe, and 8 being the cutoff for viability in society), I’d say Ten is a 4. He could be better, but he’s not that badly off. Kim is maybe a 6, Rion a 7.
i’m caught up and i’m diggin it!
